Dear readers,

The 2015 General Meeting of the FCI once again placed its trust in me by re-electing me as President of the most important canine organisation in the world, an honour which I appreciate enormously!

I remain fully committed to working hard via our basic principles. Now, more than ever, I promise to defend the rights of our dogs and their owners, to watch over their health and to raise awareness worldwide of what a healthy dog means to society, and I feel sure that all of you will help me in this work.

We will also be working on our strategic plan for the next five years. The FCI 2020 Agenda will guide the FCI and take all of your ideas and suggestions on board. We shall be focussing on four main topics, which are the well-being and health of dogs, legislation against our animals, young people and cooperation.

Under our FCI Youth initiative, young people are an important factor in our future development and they continue to have my total support. We shall be continuing to work with our national organisations to protect the health and well-being of our dogs.

At the present time, legislation against our dogs is a serious danger. The FCI will be engaging in an active programme so that we can play a leading role in these discussions.
The FCI will also be making full use of social networks as an important means of communication and in order to encourage cooperation between the millions of dog lovers all over the world.

The FCI will continue to develop together with our national organisations with the aim of watching over the well-being of dogs all over the world.

Once again, many thanks.

WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU!!!
